About
Learn more about Forty Seven and why they are your key partner in business and events.
Forty Seven is founded by Christine Wilson, an event specialist with over 10 years’ experience in direct event creation and management.
Christine was successful in establishing a marketplace for local micro business owners when creating the Nth Qld Babies & Kids Market in 2009. The event connected mums who had never had a business before or even attended a market previously with a space to sell their wares. A boutique specialised event for mums, dads, families, and friends to source out services and products especially for their family, with the bonus of supporting local business.
The success of mindful event creation and vendor support spearheaded a mum-business community. Through event growth and consistent return of investment for vendors the event soon became widely known and a sought-after popup space for micro business.
What evolved beyond Christine's intentions was now an event setting a precedent for other events to follow in the region.
Christine is an expert in navigating and establishing meaning, a need and a community around events. For this reason, Christine has become an expert in event advice and consultation.
"Curating a truly inspiring market experience takes understanding the event's specific target audience and matching the vendors to optimise ROI for all." - Christine Wilson
We help event owners define their purpose, identify the right kind of vendors to be engaged and market the event to the correct target audience.
For both event owners and the vendor, we can manage every step of the process for event success.
47 Forty Seven Events is our official name.
Experience
Carnivals & Food Festivals
In 2020 we started working with the Food Truckin Fun Fair to manage event planning post covid. We managed the navigation of covid planning and refinement along with all event documentation such as permits and plans. We created and managed event marketing plans and execution of social media engagement including the design of all marketing materials. In total 4 different events went live operating over 66 event days.
Farmers' Markets
Produced the activation and management of a not-for-profit authentic farmers' market in North Queensland to provide a place of business for local farmers, food value adders and artisans to sell on a weekly basis. Building a community of likeminded supporters and growing the offerings available to
support farmers in business development. Tourism, Agritourism and Economic Development were key initiatives and outcomes. The Greater Whitsunday Food Network and Greater Whitsunday Farmers' Market operated in the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday region from 2016 to 2021. The Greater Whitsunday Farmers Market was renamed Mackay Farmers’ Market after the GWFN entered into administration at the end of 2021 and continues to operate today as the founding work Christine did in creating the event also created a tribe of like-minded supporters and a family of farmers.
Business Seminars & Workshops
Management the production of industry specific training and workshops for statewide and metro education to aged care workers. Created an annual program that included monthly statewide workshops covering 5 regional areas and monthly Brisbane metro education programs or sessions for first aid training. The NFP was a registered training organisation -Aged Care Qld.
Boutique Events
Boutique events have ranged from Farm to Plate outdoor long table events creating a truly imersive food experince to curating artisanal market expos or charity fundraisers. We can create demographic specific events such as family markets, business expos or popups, festivals, music festivals, fashion shows and anything an event owner can imagine.
Vendor Workshops
We support business vendors by assisting them across many areas of business. We offer a stallholder workshop to training vendors how best to market when attending events to optimise their ROI. We will work with event owners to create a workshop designed for their niche vendors and stallholders.
